I love how this wrap conversion turned out. It is from Zara Tri-Green and has a detachable hood. The shoulder straps were requested by the mum I made this for. They are extra wide and lightly gathered where they meet the body. They look very comfortable. I'll have to make a mei tai with these straps to try it out for myself. (Although it may take me some time - I wish I had more time to sew!) Just for fun - here are the scraps left over from this wrap conversion - most of them are very small. There is certainly no room for error in wrap conversions!

We went to St Georges Lake last weekend. The scenery is so beautiful and it's a great place to go for a walk - there's a track that goes around the whole lake - maybe one day we'll get to go the whole way around! It would be impossible to take a stroller here - it's a good path but rough with steps in some places. Dollwearing leaves your hands free to eat cupcakes! The mei tai was a great vantage point for my baby to check out the forest. Outdoor nappy change! Mei tai rolled so my son could have his legs out. He didn't like it for long though. I think he might be too small still so I'll try again in a few weeks. He likes having his legs froggied but if he didn't I could cinch the bottom with a hair tie to make it more narrow. Babywearing is great for toddlers to carry their dolls (so I don't have to!). My daughter asked me to put this on and wore this all day - she got upset when it was time for bed and I had to take it off (and she wanted me to put it straight back on in the morning). I think she needs her own stash! Hugs from big brother.
