I made this wrap strapped mei tei recently because I wanted to try out wrap style straps over hearing how comfortable they were. I also wanted to check how much time it would take me to sew a mei tai now I have a small baby. It certainly took longer than it used to but not as long as I thought it might! I'm pleased with how it turned out. It is s very comfortable. It is one of my favourite mei tai's at the moment. It's made from a Girasol rebozo (dyed violet) with two echino prints for the body and a silk hood. I made it with a buckle waist as there wasn't enough fabric to do anything else. The wrap straps start with a padded section then gradually flare out from a 23cm to a 30cm width. Reverse side.
